From question to knowledge

We clearly distinguish research from design and development. Research provides knowledge and understanding as a contractual outcome, sandboxed from product delivery.

Phase A — Establish the Research Question

Client meetings, initial literature review, and preparation of a detailed Research Brief documenting understanding, assumptions, and proposal.

Phase B — Preliminary Research

Broad assessment to discern likely solutions. Early indication of outcomes — if negative, we recommend termination or redirection. This isn't an academic pursuit for its own sake.

Phase C — Specific Research & Reporting

Execution of the research program using our own compute, cloud resources, or partner test facilities. Data compilation, analysis, and reporting in your context.

Phase D — Publishing (Optional)

Preparation of material for scientific journals, trade magazines, or your own website — when public positioning outweighs the value of retaining knowledge privately.
